Any Questions?

Who are we?

Sawtry Light Factory is an annual project run by the churches of Sawtry, offering a full week of fun activities including games, crafts, workshops, drama, songs and Bible stories for children aged from 5 upwards. The club usually runs in the first full week of August.

The first Light Factory holiday club took place in 2001, so we are now in our 22st year. Each year we have been delighted to welcome between 60 and 100 children, with many returning year after year and some even becoming team members themselves.

Who can attend?

In 'normal' years, our activities have been aimed at infant and junior-age children, with a separate group for those attending secondary school. In 2020, although our planned activities are primarily aimed at the infant and junior age groups, younger and older children are welcome to join in online.

How much will it cost?

Nothing at all! It is our pleasure and privilege to provide this activity for our community completely free of charge. In addition to support from Sawtry churches and individual donors, we are also grateful for an annual grant from Sawtry Parish Council.

What about Safeguarding and Privacy?

We take your safety and privacy very seriously. All of the team members participating in the sessions are DBS checked and are trained in safeguarding procedures. Online sessions are constantly monitored to ensure that nothing inappropriate appears on the screen and only specific individuals are able to be heard. Guidelines about how to participate safely are also sent to the families taking part.
